Waterhouse & Dodd are pleased to present BOROUGH: Conversations, the third exhibition in a series dedicated to the work of David Bomberg and his students at the Borough Polytechnic between 1946 and 1954. Rather than providing a general overview or attempting to include all the artists who worked under Bomberg, we have selected pairs of artworks to be viewed together. Through these juxtapositions we hope to highlight both the similarities and differences in style and approach between the artists involved. Represented in this selection are a broad range of artists from internationally renowned figures to those whose work is rarely shown, but all were at one time equal under Bomberg’s watchful gaze.
