This online show to help our gallery artists and healthcare workers during the ongoing COVID-19 crisis opened two weeks ago and we are pleased to say as of May 8th we have sold 8 works and raised $2,989.75. Nine artists have graciously contributed selected artworks with reductions between 30% and 40%. This exhibition offer ends May 31st. Waterhouse & Dodd are taking a reduced commission on all sales and also donating 10% to Feed the Frontlines NYC, which provides free meals to healthcare workers.
Most artists live a somewhat solitary creative life at the best of times and are dependent on their gallerists for support, which comes in many forms. This disaster has left them even more vulnerable and we want to help them and ask our clients to do the same.
We are grateful for the essential work our healthcare workers give so tirelessly and selflessly to save lives. Our donations, with your help, are contributing meals for hospital nurses and staff from participating restaurants and bars, and they will also help to keep many restaurant employees in business. At the time of writing, Feed the Frontlines has delivered 103,000 meals and brought over 100 restaurant employees back to work.
