We are proud to present on our booth FC32 at the ART SG fair in Singapore, a solo show of paintings by the British artist Duncan McCormick.
An exhibition of 20 acrylic paintings on canvas, the curated show traces the changing of the seasons, in colour and subject but above all in its changing moods – from lyrical and elegiac, through quietly humorous and optimistic to raucous and celebratory. Many of Duncan’s subjects are, as he says, “like long remembered daydreams” - memories of childhood holidays on the English coast become more redolent of California. Cool, pared down interiors feature the jokes and lighthearted touches of British Pop Art, and often include idyllic views through doors and windows to heighten the sense of childish longing.
In the past year Duncan has become our biggest -selling artist, attracting buyers from around the world and his works are now in many important collections in the UK, USA, France, Germany, Switzerland, Singapore, Hong Kong, Taiwan, India, UAE and Lebanon.
