Nabil studied literature at Ain Shams University in Cairo and started taking photographs in his early 20s. Nabil currently lives and works in New York.

Nabil’s distinctive technique of hand-colouring silver gelatin photographs removes the blemishes of reality and recalls the heyday of Egyptian film.
